At The Living Word Church in Mathare North, we make mature and  equipped followers of Christ who will transform their families,  community and the world with the saving message of our Lord Jesus. Located  in a slum with poor infrastructure, we seek to be Salt and Light in all aspects. We Seek to fulfill our God given mandate of Evangelism,  nurturing believers and intervening in their community to see to it that  they are holistically transformed by the power of God.   
The challenges in our environment motivates us to make things better in this society.

We exist to show the love of Christ to those who need it. We engage in holistic ministries through preaching and community service. We intervene in the Spiritual, micro-economic, health and education of the community we serve in without regard to race, religion, gender or socioeconomic status.

Our daily actions and decisions are guided by the following Core Values:

1. Scripture:  We value scripture and believe that it is the God inspired transforming  Word of God that is necessary for all belivvers.
   
2. Faith: That it is impossible to please God without faith. 
   
3. Community: We are all children of Christ called into a community and oneness and harmony with each other.
   
4. Prayer:  That the Mission of God in this world is impossible without prayer and all are called  to enhance their relationship with Christ in prayer.
